Beijing Soin Technology Co., Ltd. ("Sointech"), a pioneer in digital innovation and information technology services, was invited to the 2024 Baidu World Conference held on November 12, 2024 at the Shanghai World Expo Center. Themed "Applications Are Here," the event focused on generative AI technology moving from the laboratory to real business applications, attracting scientists, entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts from around the world.
Baidu World 2024 Overview
Baidu World 2024 is Baidu's annual strategy, technology and product launch event, designed as an important platform for exchanging frontier technology, sparking innovative thinking and gaining insight into future trends. The conference showcased multiple breakthrough technology and product launches — such as autonomous vehicles, the PaddlePaddle deep learning platform and Xiaodu smart hardware — while emphasizing the practical application of generative AI as a core force driving enterprise innovation and social efficiency. At the conference, Robin Li officially launched two AI technologies that empower applications: image-boosted retrieval-augmented text-to-image technology (iRAG) and the no-code tool "Miaoda," marking that generative AI is maturing and entering the practical stage.
At this conference, Baidu Wenku and Baidu Netdisk jointly released a new AI creation product — "Free Canvas" — officially opening invitation-based beta testing to the public. Free Canvas combines Baidu's vast image resource library with powerful foundation model capabilities, achieving "photorealistic" image generation.
