01 / CHALLENGES

Security Protection of the Hybrid Cloud O&M and Security Integrated Management Suite

Almost all security challenges of the hybrid cloud O&M and security integrated management suite can be traced to its own nature: traditional application frameworks are relatively static, while the suite's architecture is highly dynamic. Its use of containers and serverless functions means suite applications are constantly shrinking and expanding, moving between on-premises and external environments, and even jumping between multiple cloud platforms. This brings new security challenges.

The suite's technology has made traditional software development models nearly obsolete, eliminating the complexity of monolithic application architecture and bringing fundamental changes to modern development patterns. This new paradigm offers many advantages but also a series of challenges — few as stubborn, dangerous or complex as suite security issues.

Due to the elasticity and complexity of the suite's architecture, existing security management experience, policies and tools can hardly diagnose the root cause of a given security anomaly or event quickly; new technologies, management processes and specific tools are needed to quickly diagnose and eliminate threats.

In the cloud environment, security teams cannot build static firewalls around applications — applications may run on-premises and externally, across multiple clouds, and may scale to dozens or hundreds of workload instances one day and shrink to single digits the next.

02 / GAP

Traditional Security Management Experience Cannot Keep Pace with the Times

Today, a single cloud service can easily be taken offline, modified or replaced without affecting other parts of the application, and development teams can release and update application versions more frequently. However, once configuration and policy management processes are in place, security management teams can no longer keep up with the suite's release cycles.

Protecting multiple entities: suite applications rely on microservices, which package each function or process as a separate container or serverless function. Each of these entities is vulnerable, meaning it needs explicit protection at every stage of the development process.

Diverse architectures: systems designed to develop suite applications utilize multiple architectures, cloud services and cloud platforms. Each has its unique security requirements and potential vulnerabilities, meaning security teams need a full understanding of the risks of this complex attack surface to protect every system structure.

Constantly evolving environment: the environment in which suite applications are developed is constantly changing. Processes such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and immutability bring rapid software release cycles, frequent application updates, and applications that are regularly torn down and recreated. The challenge for security teams is to keep this process secure without significantly slowing product release cycles.

03 / HARDENING

Security Hardening of the Suite

Suite security gives you the freedom to develop new applications without worrying about integrating security solutions. Protection runs through the entire development lifecycle, giving you greater agility and flexibility for digital transformation while minimizing the risk of code or software vulnerabilities.

Solving suite security issues requires a new approach, strategy and tools to handle suite security. These challenges can be addressed through various processes and solutions.

04 / SOLUTIONS

Solutions

Container security

Container Security

Asset discovery; security shift-left with CI integration; automatic container image scanning, risk monitoring and remediation recommendations; AI immune defense providing early warning and protection against unknown threats; full-process blocking capability; multi-level compliance checks across hosts, Docker, K8s and Harbor.

Intelligent micro-segmentation

Intelligent Micro-Segmentation

Automatically identifies internal business access relationships with visualization; converges attack surfaces to isolate risk; automatic policy generation and recommendations; dynamic authentication.

Centralized credential management

Centralized Credential Management

Centralized management of passwords, keys and certificates in cloud-native environments; removes hardcoded privileged credentials and supports process-based credential permission requests; applications self-register, auto-activate and obtain credentials; role-based access control reduces the complexity of managing access permissions and simplifies DevSecOps workflows; comprehensive privileged credential usage auditing.

Security event analytics platform

Security Event Analytics Platform

AI-based analysis and response to improve enterprise SIEM and SOAR capabilities and increase the efficiency of security teams.

API security

API Security

Scans and classifies all APIs; discovers APIs at risk of attack and data leakage; discovers APIs with authentication vulnerabilities; discovers interfaces that do not conform to enterprise API standards.

Shared responsibility

Shared Responsibility

A strong partnership between developers and security teams is essential to protect every stage of the application development process.
