A multimodal transport chain involves multiple intermodal carriers, with cargo organized and monitored by each segment carrier, forming a complex and discrete information chain. Throughout the entire transport process, information updates along the chain are easily delayed or lost. If any participant — that is, the actual carrier — fails to send correct information in time, the completion time of the whole chain will be extended, affecting the carrier's cargo delivery.
